MaineGeneral Health Child & Family Therapist (LCSW)- Edmund N Ervin Pediatric Center in Augusta, Maine

Job Summary:MaineGeneral Medical Center is currently seeking a full-time, licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience treating children and families in an outpatient mental health or developmental/behavioral medicine setting to join our team at the Edmund N Ervin Pediatric Center (EEPC). This position includes work with an interdisciplinary team and uses family-focused, evidence-based treatment models. Experience with cognitive behavioral therapy is required, and experience with trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy is preferred. An interest in obtaining additional training in evidence-based models is required.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:3-5 years of work experience in a health or mental health setting providing mental health services to children and families;Knowledge of therapy techniques, including evidence-based practices, for use in individual and family treatment; social work theories and techniques as would be acquired through completion of a master’s degree in Social Work; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Licensure by the State of Maine Board of Social Work Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Job Description:

Conducting diagnostic assessments of children and assessing psychosocial needs of families; Providing individual and family therapy using evidence-based practices; Working collaboratively with other EEPC team members, primary care providers and staff from schools and community agencies; Contributing to the mission of EEPC by participating in team initiatives, peer supervisions and committee meetings;Continuing education to supplement skills in evidence-based practices.
