Job Description Summary: MaineGeneral is looking for a per diem Speech and Language Pathologist to join our Speech Therapy team. We are looking for support in our outpatient practices, primarily in Augusta with opportunities in Oakland as well. We currently have consistent opportunities for the independent clinician. Opportunities for growth and practice exist in areas and services to include acute care, acute rehab, modified barium swallow studies, videolaryngostroboscopy, and more.
Assesses patient's ability to safely and effectively perform speech/language skills.
Designs the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
Documents subjective, objective, assessment findings and plan, and patient progress.
Educates and counsels patients and family/caregiver.
Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.
Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
The ideal candidate will have:
Maine State Speech-Language Pathologist licensure required
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required.
