Do you have what it takes?Additional InformationDepartment: Broomfield Physical TherapyHours per week: 40, eligible for benefitsShift: Will require Saturday hours for 3-4 monthsJob OverviewProvide physical therapy services including; evaluation, treatment andfollow up and documentation using general competencies for inpatient andoutpatient children referred to the physical therapy department. Providesupervision for PT aides/assistants and students with specific tasksand/or patients. Provide continuous consultation and education to families.Provide physical therapy services including evaluation, treatment, followup care, and documentation using general competencies for children referredto the physical therapy department. May include supervision for therapyaides, PTAs, and students with specific tasks and/or patients. Providecontinuous consultation and education to patients and families.A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a licensed physical therapistworking with patients with general orthopedic conditions (including ankle,knee, hip, shoulder, and back pain or injury) is required. Experienceor interest in working with patients with chronic pain, concussion, orvestibular diagnoses is preferred. Provides consultation and education to other professionals andfamilies as necessary.Documentation- Completes written documentation in accordance with departmentstandards for format, location and time frames.Evaluation/Re-evaluations: Independently evaluates children from birth to21 years of age, with a variety of diagnosis, in specialized programs,on inpatient and/or outpatient units. Incorporates principles ofcultural-competence and family-centered care into clinical services.Financial Responsibility: Assists in achieving departmental financial budgettargets.Leadership and/or Professionalism- Demonstrates professional behaviors;adheres to hospital and departmental policies and promotes personal anddepartmental development through participation in development activities toimprove the patient experience and quality goals of the department andhospital.
