We'll celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value ofspirituality in healing.We're proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn.Your day.As an Occupational Therapist you need to know how to:Evaluate a patient upon initial encounter to determine need for occupationaltherapy intervention and make referrals to other treatment team members asdeemed appropriate.Plan occupational therapy treatment program for each patient, based uponinterpretation of evaluation results; interpret evaluation findings forpatient, family, and treatment team members.Develop realistic goals with patient input; explain treatment plan and goalsto patient.Implement treatment or supervise treatment provided by Certified OccupationalTherapy Assistant, or occupational therapy student. Delegate routine care tosupportive personnel as appropriate.Terminate occupational therapy services when patient has attained maximumbenefit from occupational therapy; provide in-service education to membersof treatment team to ensure follow-through of treatment program.Evaluate, record and report on a patient's progress for review by othermembers of the rehabilitative team.Communicate effectively with physician, other members of rehabilitation teamand others as indicated regarding treatment plan and patient response to plan.Complete all required documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner.Your experience.We hire people, not resumes.
