Explainprocedures to the patients, reinforcing the radiation oncologist'sand/or nurses instructions regarding reactions to the treatment and theircare.Prepare room and equipment for the patient according to the prescription,i.e., immobilization devices, blocks, field sizes etc. Transfer patientsas needed.Verify the treatment Mu's and beam energy in the treatment chart noting anyprescribed adjustments. Document treatment Mu's cumulative dose, sitespecific doses, treatment parameters, instructions, diagrams,photos, and all billing information.Perform treatment simulation and all that it requires for procedure(including cerrobend block fabrication). Develop x-rays and port films asneeded, filing as needed. Observe and inquire of the patient any unusualreactions or events.Assist in maintaining order and cleanliness of the unit. Maintain appropriatestock levels.Complete daily, progress and discharge documentation according todepartmental standards. Accurately document productivity information.Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives. Identify potentialareas for improvement including processes that could be streamlined or revisedto improve patient satisfaction. Identify potential safety hazards that maycreate problems for patients and/or staff, and take appropriate actions.Document patient plan(s) of care, tests and examination results in themedical record as directed by the provider. Escalate non-routine issues,questions and/or concerns to the practice manager or healthcareprovider(s). Ensure safety checklists/quality controls are completed asrequireYour experience.We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is whywe require:Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program, requiredCurrent ARRT and RT(T) certifications in radiation therapy and currentlicense in state of practice, requiredCurrent BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, requiredAt least one (
