Our East Brunswick, NJ outpatient therapy center continues to expand, and we are seeking a compassionate and driven licensed physical therapist to provide exceptional patient care experiences on a full time basis. Caseload will include a mix of patient types, as our clinic treats a diverse population. A strong candidate will be eager to grow the oncology caseload.
Seize the opportunity to join our highly trained and respected ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation Program team, who provide rehabilitative services to help improve quality of life for people affected by cancer. Interest in cancer rehabilitation is required, experience is preferred. Our ReVital team provides the necessary education and training for therapists invested in treating our diverse patient population, which must be completed within the first 6-12 months of employment. Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist (PT):
Performs comprehensive evaluations, develops and appropriately progresses individualized treatment plans.
Provides thorough education to patients and caregivers in a manner they can understand, and plans appropriately for discharge when medical necessity no longer indicates skilled therapeutic care.
Participates in departmental initiatives and demonstrates effective communication with all rehab team members.
Facilitates professional growth, development and overall improvement of departmental performance.
Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and design of program delivery.
Successful completion of those educational requirements as mandated for state licensure or eligibility for a license in Physical Therapy
Current State licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of which he or she will practice
Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required
Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients
Interest in cancer rehabilitation
2-3 years' clinical experience
Cancer rehabilitation experience
Interest and/or experience in lymphedema
