At DenverSprings we are dedicated to Changing People's LivesWe are seeking a Help fo Hereos Therapist to provide psychotherapy andcounseling services including group, individual and family therapy forActive Duty Military, Veterans and First Responders suffering frompsychiatric and substance abuse issuesMembers of our team Enjoy:Working with a highly engaged staffHealthy staffing levelsFlexible schedulingCareer growthCompetitive compensationDaily Pay - We've partnered with DailyPay, a voluntary benefit to offeremployees access to their pay on their own schedulePosition DetailsConducts individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients regardingpsychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems.Conducts treatment track programming (Mental Health, Addictions,and/or Trauma) specific to the individual needs of the patient inalignment with program expectations and guidelines.Displays active involvement in treatment planning process. Communicates withmilitary base providers appropriately when track assignment is unclear foractive duty service members.Provides family session counseling to all patients to ensure appropriatecommunication and involvement of family members and support groups.Actively communicates with clients, families, and outside referralsources. Demonstrates proactive communication with those involved with thepatient's treatment. Makes sure that the correct information is received bythe correct military referral provider for active duty service members.Works well with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, utilizationreview and nursing staff members. Demonstrates active communication with teammembers.Effectively communicates to UR on treatment and LOS issues.Completes appropriate paperwork for clients in a timely, accurate andcomplete manner. Ensures that the additional requirements for active dutyservice member documentation is completed on time and with accuracy prior tobeing sent to the military base behavioral health provider.Demonstrates appropriate crisis intervention and de-escalation skills. Acts asmember of team with crisis situation occurs, assisting others to ensurepatient safety.Completes accurate assessments of patients utilizing clinical skills. Assistscare coordination department as requested.Completes all documentation thoroughly, timely, and in accordance withhospital standards.Displays a thorough knowledge of confidentiality. Completes releasesappropriately. Demonstrates knowledge of HIPAA regulations and abides by thosestandards.Demonstrates a working knowledge of all clinical regulations, includingTJC, Medicaid, and state and federal laws.Compensation and Benefits:Salary/Hourly: $ 25.00 - $40.00/hour + $2,500 Sign-On BonusQualificationsEducation:Master's degree in social work or counseling or relevant state licensurerequired.Experience:Prior experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.License:Current unencumbered clinical license per state of practice guidelines.Additional Requirements:CPR and CPI certified within 30 days of employment.
