Holland Hospital Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Behavioral in Holland, Michigan
The occupational therapist evaluates patients, establishes goals and treatment programs, treats patients according to diagnosis utilizing therapeutic modalities and procedures as prescribed and indicated, supervises and delegates tasks to supportive personnel, maintains appropriate records, communicates patient progress to physicians and other health care workers as indicated, meets department productivity expectations, accepts responsibility for personal and professional growth and performs other duties as assigned. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her area.
Minimum Education/Training: Baccalaureate Program through an Institution accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association and the American Medical Association.
Registration/Certification or License Required: Current certification as Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR). Current licensure as Occupational Therapist in the State of Michigan. Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider or completed within 60 days of hire.
Preferred Education: 2 yr. Masters Program through an Institution accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association and the American Medical Association.
Preferred Experience: 1 to 2 years prior experience in specialty area. Computer literate. Bilingual.
Physical Requirements: Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull +/- 150-200 lbs. (Patients on bed, stretcher). Lateral transfer 150-200 lbs. (ie. Patient). Occasional squatting. Occasional keyboard use. Frequent sitting, standing, walking. Continuous reaching, bending, twisting. Continuous talking, hearing.
