The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team is seeking a licensed mental health clinician or someone with a temp licensure to deliver community-based therapy services to participants of the ACT program. The Therapist (ACT Mental Health Professional) will provide therapy and support to adults using evidence-based practices. The CROSS MHDS ACT program has an office in Knoxville Iowa, and a satellite location in Leon Iowa. The Mental Health Clinician supports participants residing throughout the program service territory. Essential Duties Addendum * Consumer care including spending at least 75% of scheduled time in direct, face to face or telephone interactions with consumers. * Conduct psycho-educational, skills training, and supportive crisis counseling in residence or community. Required Experience Minimum of 3 years of prior experience Required Education Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a human service field. Required Qualifications * IACT Mental Health Professionals require a master's degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or other mental health realted field and must have previous experience providing services to the target population. * LMSW, LMHC, OT, LMFT licensure required or is actively pursuing clinical licensure through current clinical supervision. Program Summary The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is a mobile service designed to provide intensive supports in the home and community to indivdiuals living with intellectual developmental disabilities. ACT is available 24 hours a day, seven days per week, and is prepared to carry out a full range of treatment functions in the participants chosen community. The ACT team consists of the following members: master's level mental health clinicians, registered nurse, substance abuse specialist, vocational specialist, psychiatrist/ARNP, peer support specialist, and a program assistant. Team members work together with the individuals served to promote symptom stability and appropriate use of medication; restore personal, community living and social skills; promote and maintain physical health; establish access to entitlements, housing, work and social opportunities; and help maintain the highest possible level of functioning in the community.
