If you are a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist looking for a superb career opportunity with one of New Mexico’s leading healthcare providers, join our Rehabilitation team at Memorial Medical Center! We are seeking a positive and dedicated speech language pathologist to provide excellent therapy services for our patients in our growing department. As an SLP with Memorial Medical Center, you will provide direct patient care services to individuals of all ages thatfacilitate progress toward performance-based goalsin a supportive, team-oriented environment. This position is a unique opportunity to combine acute care with outpatient caseloads. This position will start our outpatient service line, specializing in the treatment of swallow disorders in adults while allowing for job sharing into acute care.

Additional responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist include:
• Perform appropriate speech therapy evaluations, implement and manage an individualized evidence-based patient

plan of care according to physician orders
• Documenting patient progress daily and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
• Accurately bill for services provided in accordance to CMS guidelines
• Supervise assistants, technicians, students
• Openly communicate with case management to assist with throughput
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to maintain continuity of care and focus on patient goals
• Maintain productivity standards

  • Collaborate with director and growth and outreach team for initiating outpatient presence in our community

Minimum Education: Graduate from a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology program.

Minimum Experience: One year experience in acute care setting. Experience with dysphasia and video fluoroscopy preferred.

Certification/Licensure: Certified as ASHA in Speech-Language Pathology or in process of obtaining certification (CFY). Licensed in the State of New Mexico or in process of apply for licensure upon completion of CFY. CPR required.
