PrairieCare LLC Associate Therapist, Assessment & Intake Department in Maplewood, Minnesota
Description As an Associate Level Therapist you will: Triage crisis phone calls Complete admissions based diagnostic assessments to develop provisional diagnoses with clinical oversight of a licensed supervisor Consult with a psychiatrist to determine correct level of care Facilitate admission to appropriate level of care, including the inpatient unit, residential care, partial hospitalization programming, or intensive outpatient programming Coordinate direct admissions to the inpatient unit with referring professionals from other hospitals or others within the community Provide effective customer relations pursuant to the policies of PrairieCare Provide back-up for therapists across the organization, and perform other clinical duties as needed Hours: Monday - Friday, 8-4:30 or 5 pm Requirements: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely-related therapeutic field Currently pursuing licensure and receiving clinical supervision towards such Two years of experience in behavioral healthcare preferred Knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and willingness to continue refining diagnostic skills within an assessment arena Interviewing and assessment skills Culturally responsive and inclusive lens, oriented and educated in diverse care factors such as gender identity, culture, race, and age Ability to communicate clearly and effectively within multidisciplinary teams both within PrairieCare as well as externally within other organizations with collaboration and patient experience at the center Reliable transportation and telephone Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook PrairieCare is a physician-owned and operated psychiatric healthcare system experiencing rapid growth in the Twin Cities.
