Eastern State Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assist clients in restoring their abilities to perform activities of daily living. You'll be part of an extended care team working with people with behavioral illness, which allows you the opportunity to grow your career. You will also assess clients, create plans, and work towards helping others meet certain goals. This is an opportunity to make a difference in people's lives! Some of what you will do * Evaluate and assess the client's motor, sensory, and activities of daily living (ADL) skills * Develop occupational therapy plans, interventions, and treatment goals for individuals and groups * Facilitate group occupational therapy service on a daily basis and provide client-centered individual treatment sessions * Provide occupational therapy treatment to clients with complex problems in the areas of activities of daily living, gross and fine motor, sensory-motor, cognitive and psychosocial skills * Instruct and direct Certified OT Assistants and OT Aides on clinical issues We are looking for someone who * Has a current Washington State license to practice as an Occupational Therapist* A Temporary Occupational Therapy WA state license with sponsorship from a current WA State licensed Occupational Therapist, may substitute for this qualification. Pluses: * Experience observing and analyzing behavioral patterns and function * In-depth working knowledge of group behavior and dynamics * Knowledge of mental illness and recovery principles given in a therapeutic, non-threatening manner Interested?
