School Based Therapist
Hiring Bonus of $1,000 - $2,000 Available to external candidates
We are seeking a School based therapist to join our School based team serving Robbinsdale, Anoka- Hennepin, Osseo, and intermediate school district 287. Opportunity to be embedded in a school site working in collaboration with student support staff with consistent support from a well-established school based team. Providing therapeutic services with a case load size that allows for ongoing consultation, collaboration with school and community partners.
Our Therapist in our School-Based program work in schools to be part of the everyday life of the children we serve. We have visibility to their daily routines, and we collaborate and consult with student assistance teams to ensure our clients are connected to the supports that they need to be successful. We provide them with access to therapy in the school setting which reduces barriers to receiving services. Position responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships with children, parents and other family members
Completing intake/diagnostic process and Diagnostic Evaluations
Creating and implementing treatment plans
Regularly evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans
Conducting individual therapy and, as needed, conducting family and group therapies
Collaborating and consulting with school staff regarding referrals and scheduling
Master's degree in behavior sciences
Previous experience providing therapy to children, adolescents and families
Pursuing a professional license in one of the following: LP, LPCC, LMFT, LICSW (Supervision towards licensure available)
Current and valid licensure as LICSW, LMFT, LP or LPCC
Experience collaborating with school systems and school personnel
Proven success collaborating on interdisciplinary teams
Previous experience in providing services to children, adolescents and families is preferred.
.9 FTE 40 hours a week during academic year, 20 hours per week for 8 weeks in the summer. Hours are usually 8:00am - 4:30pm
