The Marcfirst Pediatric Therapy Program is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide assessment and treatment for children age's birth to 18 years of age. The Therapist is responsible for developing strategies/techniques/treatment plans as well as providing individualized direct treatment for children with developmental disabilities. The Therapist will work closely with a trans-disciplinary team to implement treatment programs.

Pay: Commensurate with experienceJob Type: Full-Time or Part-Time


  • Effectively carry a caseload with children ages birth to 18.

  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, evaluating individuals in the areas of fine motor/self-help skills, upper extremity function, activities of daily living, upper body strength, visual/perceptual skills, and sensory processing, and write treatment plans based on the results of assessments that effectively target short- and long-term goals.

  • Maintain professional documentation including progress reports and session notes.

  • Complete notes and all paperwork in an appropriate timeframe.

  • Collaborating with a team of other Marcfirst professionals, including Developmental Therapists, Physical Therapists, Social/Emotional therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Board Certified Behavioral Analysts


  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Successful passage of the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapists (NBCOT) OT examination.

  • Has current OT license (or is license-eligible) in Illinois

  • Illinois Early Intervention credential or eligible for credential.

  • Preferred minimum of one year proven successful experience in the area of pediatric occupational therapy and experience with families who have children with developmental delays/disabilities.

  • Must possess valid driver’s license

  • Must be able to successfully pass criminal, DCFS, safe driving background check, TB test and drug screen
