Registered Respiratory Therapist - Full time (36 hours per week) 7 PM-7 AM rotating weekends, rotating holidays.

What You Will Do

Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

  • Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based ondiagnosis.

  • Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment. Monitor, record and communicate patientcondition. Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.

  • Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.

  • Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provide information about communitysupport groups and other available programs.

  • Respond to emergency resuscitation team code.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date orjob transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted uponhire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.

  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board forRespiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care obtainedprior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation preferred.

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degreerequired.

Additional Preferences

  • Previous patient experience preferred.

  • Ability to think fast, multitask, & address patient issues in an expedient manner.
