What You Will Do

Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.

  • Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.

  • Perform therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population.

  • Document treatment interventions given.

  • May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • Licensed Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst credentialed from the Florida Board of Physical Therapy Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
