Essential Job Functions:
+ Assigns and supervises the caseload of direct reports staff. Assists staff as required to manage caseload efficiently.
+ Reviews cases to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services rendered. Conducts staff meetings to review strengths, outcomes, problem areas and plan solutions.
+ Assists staff in improving and updating professional skills by providing them with information such as pertinent conferences and seminars, new techniques in the field and current and pending legislation affecting mental health services. Orients, trains, and develops new staff.
+ Monitors case records, including signatures, and follow up and referral of individuals to community agencies to aid in an accurate history. Ensures that paperwork is maintained in accordance with Medicaid & DCH, & EHS guidelines, policies, and procedures.
+ Demonstrates the ability to identify Stage of Change, use and teach interventions consistent with the stage of treatment.
+ Model and use the Spirit of Motivational Interviewing.
+ Provides outcome and strength-based supervision to staff, to foster professional development and performance as well as develop skill sets. Conduct clinical case reviews that are competency based, culturally relevant and focus on improving client outcomes.
+ Familiar with a variety of outcome measures for psychiatric, co-occurring substance use, and medical disorders.
+ Provide support, education, and reinforce the use of prescribed medications to treat substance use and mental health disorders.
+ May also be responsible for the coordination of specific programs and projects as assigned.
+ Instructs, assigns, schedules, checks and appraises performance. Hires, recommends disciplinary action and discharge, and recommends pay increases and/or promotions.
+ Responsible for authorizing medically necessary services for all consumers.
+ Monitors Staff’s caseload to ensure implementation of approved EBP.
+ Demonstrates knowledge of principles of trauma informed care.
+ Provides supervision in accordance with the Individual and Clinical Supervisory Guidelines for the position.
+ Completes monthly chart audits in accordance with KPI standards.
+ Full compliance with developing and monitoring PIP’s in accordance with the Supervision Policy.
+ Meet supervision/coaching requirements for all staff assigned as defined by Supervision Guidelines.
+ Full compliance in completing annual evaluations on or prior to staff anniversary date.
+ Performs all job duties and completes paperwork in accordance with Medicaid Verification requirements and guidelines.
