The future starts here.OverviewThe Respiratory Therapist II applies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate respiratory care for any age-related needs of the patients served on assigned unit or departmentRequirementsRequired Education/Experience:- Completion of an AMA approved 2 year school of Respiratory Therapy- For ECMO Specialist, 2 years NICU/PICU experience- For Staff Educator Preceptor and QI/Research RTII, 2 years of NICU/PICU experience- For Clinical Educator, minimum of 5 years of RT experience at a quaternary academic medical center- For Emergency Department RT, 1 year NICU/PICU or equivalent critical care experienceRequired Credentials:- Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registry Eligible with the National Board of Respiratory Care- BLS for Healthcare Providers or current PALS certification- Current Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner license- Any one of the following:- Completion of ECMO specialist training and selection to be on the team of ECMO specialist;- Completion of training requirements including the Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential from the NBRC to be multidisciplinary respiratory therapy educator and staff preceptor, or clinical educator;- Completion of training in the Pulmonary Function or Exercise Stress Labs. CPFT required within 6 months of hire or transfer for employees working in the Pulmonary Diagnostic's LabPreferred:- RPFT preferred for employees working in the Pulmonary Diagnostic's Lab- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or other health related field.In accordanc
