THERAPISTWomen's Outpatient1st Shift Mon-Fri PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES *Provides alcohol and drug counseling services to chemically dependent clients through individual, group and family therapy. *Assists clients in the development of interpersonal skills required to promote recovery and maintain sobriety. *Reports progress on appointments and paperwork as specified by supervisor *Posts notes within time-frame specified by Documentation policy. *Completes all paperwork including writing Discharge Summary or Discharge Note as specified in Discharge Policy. *Complies with all Federal, State, Agency and Accreditation standards including OMHAS, CARF, and HIPAA. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES *Performs screening and assessment of client to determine treatment needs. *When Intake staff is unavailable, conducts financial assessment and assists client in completing intake paperwork. *When Intake staff is unavailable, ensures that client understand their rights by explaining client rights and procedures. *Requests clients to get Tuberculosis (T.B.) tests and/or medical examinations at time of intake. Works with the Nurse with any medical concerns for clients, i.e., client testing positive for T.B. or any other illnesses. *Assists clients to develop individualized treatment plans in order to remain chemical-free. *Prepares for and attends all scheduled clinical staffing meetings to ensure quality care for all clients. Provides input to assist other clinical staff in treatment planning. Develops and prioritizes those needs in the Master Problem List (MPL). Implements and updates MPL and modifies treatment plan as necessary. *Interacts with clinical staff in case consultation and makes case presentations as a clinical team member. Functions as a resource/liaison to other team members. Brings back information from training and presents it to other staff when appropriate. *When formally approved, may conduct staffings. *May help plan recreational and educational activities for clients. *Contacts referral sources and other providers involved with client treatment. *Establishes and maintains effective relationships with clients, significant others, social service agencies, legal system and other treatment facilities to ensure continuity of care and provision of service to clients. Writes follow up letters to clients and/or referral sources. *Coordinates or provides transportation for clients as necessary. *Prepares and facilitates groups in all Programs. Provides psychotherapeutic counseling to clients and families in a supportive or therapeutic group or individual setting based on individual case and treatment plans, including educational groups on chemical dependency. *May provide family therapy when qualified to do so. *May provide clinical supervision to college interns if qualified to do so. *Provides individual therapy. *Provides back up treatment services as necessary. *Provides crisis intervention services, including Residential client services after hours. *Collects urine samples for drug screening. *Maintains funding source standards by meeting productivity budgeted requirements. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSLicensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work as a minimum, and computer literacy. Prefer LISW but will accept LPC, LPCC, LSW.Familiar with Ohio Recovery HousingAdditional requirements may vary depending on program or paying source guidelines.
