Occupational Therapist Traveler –Yampa Valley Medical Center, Steamboat Springs, CO
Outpatient Hand clinic. Certified Hand Therapist
Occupational or Physical Therapist can fill the position with a CHT license.
Monday-Friday 0830-1700. Must work every 4th weekend, with comp days before and after weekends worked
Valid Colorado OT license. Acute care Rehab experience preferred.
· Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
· Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
· Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.
· Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. Supervises and delegates the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.
Bachelor'sdegree in Occupational Therapy. Preferred: Master's degree in OccupationalTherapy.
Current licensurewith Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice OccupationalTherapy. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
Two yearsrecent/current/like experience
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American RedCross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before startdate. BLS or CPR card must be goodthrough sixty days of hire. Alllife support certification cards must be issued by either the AmericanHeart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the ProfessionalRescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only goodupon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American HeartAssociation sanctioned course.)
Due to Point of Care Testing duties associated with this position, uponhire, a copy of highest level of education (diploma, degree, or transcripts)would be required to present to the hiring manager. If this is available to you at this time,please attach it with your resume in one document.

This position's pay is: $37.00/hour + travel stipend/package. An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
