Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist - Autism TransitionRequisition ID2021-31020CategoryBehavioral HealthOverviewBehavioral Health Outpatient Therapist- Autism Transition The CASD Behavioral Health (BH) Therapist - Transition Services is a Social Worker/Clinical Counselor responsible for the clinical assessment, mental and behavioral health treatment, and overall clinical care of adolescents and young adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Intellectual Disability with comorbid mental health concerns. The Transition Services BH Therapist provides one-on-one intervention and caregiver training focused on increasing emotional regulation, coping skills, executive function, social skills, daily living skills, self-advocacy and self-motivation. They train and supervise staff, caregivers, and other providers on the skills necessary for clients with ASD to successfully transition to adulthood. This therapist is also responsible assessment, safety planning, and treatment of individuals with urgent level needs related to mental health concerns and suicidal ideation. A Place to Be ProudResponsibilitiesProvide direct clinical care to adolescents and young adults using the most appropriate treatment modalities in accordance with knowledge, training and supervision. These services include treatment planning, direct clinical care, parent training, and psychoeducational/supportive services to patients and their families who are receiving services through the CASD.Design intervention services for each client by assessing the client's needs, developing goals, and designing teaching procedures.Provide interventions in clinic, home, school and other community settings, as appropriate.Serve as liaison between the CASD and the client's other service providers and school district personnelEmploy strategies of intervention that are consistent with empirically supported treatments and consistent with program expectations.Remain current in required licensure and clinical or other training as required.Practice within professional areas of expertise.Complete clinical charting and other related administrative paperwork in accordance with policy standards.Maintain productivity expectations.Meet regularly with supervising Psychologist, or designee.Attend routine staff meetings.Attend in-service traini
